A fairy décor bedroom would be for a girl and not a boy and the designer can bring a lot of the little girl’s ideas into the room. Usually a child’s ideas would have to be a little refined by the designer, but the designer’s job is to talk to the child, gather her ideas and incorporate them into the fairy décor in some fashion.

The Use Of Color

The use of color is always important in a child’s room. Children respond to colorful things and it is very stimulating to have lots of color in a child’s room. This is not difficult with fairy décor. For example, if a child picks purple as her favorite color, then shades of purple can be used throughout the room. If she also likes yellow, then the two colors can be used to create a very special room. Painting three walls yellow and one wall purple is a good start for fairy décor.

Using wood blinds to cover the window and provide security and then adding lavender sheers over the window will start to set the tone for the fairy décor room. A bed next to the purple wall with a lavender sheer canopy is another good idea. Little fairies holding the canopy in place is also really cute. Putting tiny lavender and yellow twinkling lights on the top of the window treatment and throughout the bed canopy always adds atmosphere to fair décor.

Use the child’s fairy pictures and fairy dolls to decorate the room. A mural on one of the walls of a forest area full of different kinds of fairies always adds to the magic of a fairy décor room. The door to her closet can be painted as a large fairy opening a door into a magical place. The use of glitter on the walls and on the doors is always fun to add a little mysticism to the room, but be careful so children cannot take the glitter off of the walls. There is paint that can be used now that has a little sparkle in it.

If she has a baby doll in a cradle, a canopy to match the one on the child’s bed is always a wonderful idea. The use of fun and colorful linens and bed treatments with lots of cute pillows will also add to the fairy décor. The pillows can have ribbons tied to them and braided in interesting ways. The canopy can also be tied back with braided ribbons and the window treatment as well.

There are lots of different and creative things you can do to give a child fairy décor in her bedroom. It’s fun and unusual and your child will smile from ear to ear when she steps into her fairy décor bedroom.
